I can put a price on instant* gratification - and it is about nine pounds.
That is how much extra I paid for Civ 4 buying it through Steam yesterday instead of ordering a copy from Play.
But I really, really had an urge to play it.
* subject to getting the bunnies up into their playpen, and then cooking and eating lunch, and reading the paper. Instant gratification takes an hour of getting ready for these days. But then it took that long to download it anyway.
